Search for the Rare Decays $J/\psi \to D_{S}^{-} \pi^{+}$, $J/\psi \to D^{-} \pi^{+}$, and $J/\psi \to \bar D^{0} \bar K^{0}$
BES collaboration

TL;DR
This study searched for rare decay modes of the J/psi particle into specific D meson and pion or kaon pairs, setting upper limits on their branching fractions due to no observed signals.
Contribution
First search for these rare J/psi decay modes using a large dataset, establishing upper limits on their branching fractions.
Findings
No signals observed above background
Upper limits on branching fractions set at 90% confidence level
Constraints improve understanding of rare decay processes
Abstract
Rare decay modes , , and are searched for using 5.77 events collected with the BESII detector at the BEPC. No signal above background is observed. We present upper limits on the branching fractions 1.4, , and 1.7 at the 90% confidence level.
