The BABAR Collaboration, B. Aubert, et al

TL;DR
This paper measures moments of the hadronic mass and energy spectra in inclusive semileptonic B decays to extract fundamental parameters like |V_{cb}| and quark masses using data from the BABAR detector.
Contribution
It provides new measurements of spectral moments in B decays and applies Heavy Quark Expansion to determine |V_{cb}|, m_b, and other parameters with improved precision.
Findings
|V_{cb}| = (41.88 ± 0.81) × 10^{-3}
m_b = (4.552 ± 0.055) GeV/c^2
Preliminary spectral moments results
Abstract
We present a measurement of moments of the inclusive hadronic-mass and -energy spectrum in semileptonic decays. This study is based on a sample of 232 million decays recorded by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II -storage rings. We reconstruct the semileptonic decay by identifying a lepton in events tagged by a fully reconstructed hadronic decay of the second meson. We report preliminary results for the moments with and with and , with the mass of the hadronic system, its energy, and a constant of , for different minimal lepton momenta between 0.8 and measured in the -meson rest frame. These are predicted in the framework of a Heavy Quark…
