Hawking Radiation and Covariant Anomalies
Rabin Banerjee, Shailesh Kulkarni

TL;DR
This paper derives Hawking radiation from charged black holes using covariant anomalies, emphasizing the universality and reliability of the anomaly cancellation method in black hole physics.
Contribution
It generalizes the anomaly cancellation approach to Hawking radiation for charged black holes using covariant anomalies, highlighting its universality.
Findings
Hawking radiation can be derived from covariant anomalies.
The anomaly cancellation method is reliable for charged black holes.
The approach emphasizes the universality of Hawking radiation derivations.
Abstract
Generalising the method of Wilczek and collaborators we provide a derivation of Hawking radiation from charged black holes using only covariant gauge and gravitational anomalies. The reliability and universality of the anomaly cancellation approach to Hawking radiation is also discussed.
