Frame dragging and super-energy
L. Herrera, J. Carot, A. Di Prisco

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that vorticity in stationary vacuum spacetimes is linked to super-energy flow, supporting the idea that super-energy causes frame dragging, especially when combined with previous findings in radiative spacetimes.
Contribution
It establishes a universal relation between vorticity and super-energy flow in stationary vacuum spacetimes, reinforcing super-energy as the cause of frame dragging.
Findings
Vorticity in stationary vacuum spacetimes is related to super-energy flow.
Super-energy's role in frame dragging is supported by this relation.
The link extends previous results in radiative spacetimes.
Abstract
We show that the vorticity appearing in stationary vacuum spacetimes is always related to the existence of a flow of super-energy on the plane orthogonal to the vorticity vector. This result, toghether with the previously established link between vorticity and super--energy in radiative (Bondi-Sachs) spacetimes strength further the case for this latter quantity as the cause of frame dragging.
