TL;DR
This paper investigates the semi-leptonic decay of B-mesons to K_1(1270) and leptons, using LEET to estimate form factors, and analyzes angular correlations to probe physics beyond the Standard Model.
Contribution
It introduces the use of LEET to calculate additional form factors for B to K_1(1270) decays and studies angular correlations in semi-leptonic decay modes.
Findings
Utilized existing upper bounds from BELLE on B to K_1(1270) gamma decay.
Estimated new form factors using LEET.
Analyzed angular correlations to explore new physics scenarios.
Abstract
Flavour Changing Neutral Current decays of the -meson are a very useful tool for studying possible physics scenarios beyond the Standard Model (SM), where of the many FCNC modes radiative, purely leptonic and semi-leptonic decays of the -meson are relatively clean tests. Within this context the BELLE collaboration has searched for the process and provided an upper bound on this decay. In this work we have used this upper bound in studying the angular coorelations for the related semi-leptonic decay mode , where we have used the form factors that have already been estimated for the mode. Note that the additional form factors that are required were calculated using the Large Energy Effective Theory (LEET).
