Karthik Shankar, Bernard. F. Whiting

TL;DR
This paper derives coordinate systems that explicitly reveal the conformal flatness of a constant density star's interior and the Robertson-Walker metric, enhancing understanding of their geometric properties.
Contribution
The paper introduces explicit coordinate systems for conformally flat metrics of a constant density star and Robertson-Walker spacetime, clarifying their geometric structure.
Findings
Coordinate system for the star's interior conformal flatness
Coordinate system for Robertson-Walker metric
Enhanced geometric understanding of these spacetimes
Abstract
It is well known that the interior of a constant density spherical star is conformally flat. In this paper we obtain the coordinate system in which the conformal flatness of the metric manifests itself. In a similar way, we also construct such coordinates for Robertson Walker metric.
