About agreement of PYTHIA and the experimental results in $e^+e^-$ annihilation to hadrons
N.V. Radchenko

TL;DR
This paper compares experimental charged particle multiplicity distributions in electron-positron annihilation to hadrons with PYTHIA simulations across multiple energies, highlighting the need for improved tuning at the Z^0 peak.
Contribution
It provides a detailed comparison of PYTHIA simulations with experimental data at various energies, emphasizing the importance of refined tuning at the Z^0 resonance.
Findings
PYTHIA's agreement varies across energies
Discrepancies suggest tuning improvements are needed at Z^0 peak
Quantitative chi-squared analysis performed
Abstract
The experimental charged particles multiplicity distributions in annihilation to hadrons are compared with the distributions obtained by PYTHIA. The ratio /degrees of freedom is calculated for 6 energies at 14 -- 206.2 GeV. The necessity of more subtle tuning of PYTHIA at the energy of peak is discussed.
