Some Thermodynamic Aspects of Pure Glue, Fuzzy Bags and Gauge/String Duality
Oleg Andreev

TL;DR
This paper investigates the thermodynamic behavior of pure SU(3) gauge theory using a string model, finding results consistent with lattice simulations and discussing implications for SU(N) theories.
Contribution
It introduces a string-based approach to calculate thermodynamic properties of pure gauge theories, extending understanding beyond lattice methods.
Findings
Results agree with lattice data for SU(3) gauge theory
String formulation effectively models thermodynamics in the studied temperature range
Comments on SU(N) theories suggest broader applicability
Abstract
The thermodynamic properties of a SU(3) gauge theory without quarks are calculated using a string formulation for 1.2T_c < T < 3T_c. The results are in good agreement with the lattice data. We also comment on SU(N) gauge theories.
