Multiplicities and $J/\psi$ suppression at LHC energies
A. Capella, E. G. Ferreiro

TL;DR
This paper predicts particle multiplicities and J/psi suppression at LHC energies, considering shadowing and hot medium effects, indicating significant suppression and high multiplicity compared to RHIC.
Contribution
It introduces a model that incorporates initial shadowing and final state interactions to predict multiplicities and J/psi suppression at LHC energies.
Findings
1800 charged particles predicted at LHC
J/psi suppression increases by a factor of 5-6 compared to RHIC
Results highlight the importance of shadowing and hot medium effects
Abstract
We present our predictions on multiplicities and suppression at LHC energies. Our results take into account shadowing effects in the initial state and final state interactions with the hot medium. We obtain 1800 charged particles at LHC and the suppression increases by a factor 5 to 6 compared to RHIC.
