Hall Magnetohydrodynamics with Electron Inertia
Bhimsen Shivamoggi

TL;DR
This paper explores Hall magnetohydrodynamics including electron inertia, revealing a broader range of equilibrium solutions and demonstrating that force-free fields arise from the triple Beltrami condition, highlighting self-organization phenomena.
Contribution
It introduces a comprehensive analysis of equilibrium states in Hall MHD with electron inertia, emphasizing the role of the triple Beltrami condition in force-free fields.
Findings
Wider class of equilibrium solutions identified
Force-free field B - J linked to triple Beltrami condition
Self-organization aspects discussed
Abstract
Hall magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) with electron inertia is considered. A much wider class of equilibrium solutions and the concomitant self-organization aspects are discussed. The force-free field state B - J is shown to be a consequence of the triple Beltrami condition.
