TL;DR
This paper investigates phase transitions in the configuration-mixed Interacting Boson Model with U(5) and Q(χ) interactions, analyzing phase diagrams and critical behavior through mean-field approximation.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of phase diagrams and critical phenomena in the U(5)-Q(χ) mixing case within the Interacting Boson Model, including analytical and numerical solutions.
Findings
Identification of first-order and second-order phase transitions.
Construction of phase diagrams with analytical and numerical methods.
Analysis of critical exponents and binding energies.
Abstract
The case of U(5)-- mixing in the configuration-mixed Interacting Boson Model is studied in its mean-field approximation. Phase diagrams with analytical and numerical solutions are constructed and discussed. Indications for first-order and second-order shape phase transitions can be obtained from binding energies and from critical exponents, respectively.
