TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that massless charged particles and massless quarks in classical electrodynamics and Yang--Mills theory do not radiate or form dressed particles, challenging conventional notions of particle interactions.
Contribution
It introduces a direct interparticle action framework for massless particles, showing they do not undergo the usual radiation or dressing processes.
Findings
Massless particles do not radiate.
Massless particles do not form dressed states.
The direct interparticle action approach applies to these systems.
Abstract
We show that classical electrodynamics of massless charged particles and the Yang--Mills theory of massless quarks do not experience rearranging their initial degrees of freedom into dressed particles and radiation. Massless particles do not radiate. We consider a version of the direct interparticle action theory for these systems following the general strategy of Wheeler and Feynman.
