Long Distance Signaling Using Axion-like Particles
Daniel D. Stancil

TL;DR
This paper explores the potential of axion-like particles for enabling long-distance communication, deriving equations and providing calculations that suggest feasibility over hundreds of kilometers under certain particle parameter conditions.
Contribution
It introduces a framework for long-distance signaling using axion-like particles, including antenna concepts and a Friis-like equation for link calculations.
Findings
Communication over 1000 km may be possible for specific axion mass and coupling constants.
Derived a Friis-like equation tailored for axion-based communication links.
Provided an example calculation demonstrating potential feasibility.
Abstract
The possible existence of axion-like particles could lead to a new type of long distance communication. In this work, basic antenna concepts are defined and a Friis-like equation is derived to facilitate long-distance link calculations. An example calculation is presented showing that communication over distances of 1000 km or more may be possible for meV and .
